CEC 100th Anniversary Series #2 “The Importance of Inclusion”

Dr. James M. “Jim” Kauffman, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, dedicated his life to teaching, research and service primarily focusing on the education of students with emotional and behavioral disorders. Dr. Kauffman completed his undergraduate studies at Goshen College and began his career as a classroom teacher. He completed his graduate studies at Washburn University and his doctorate degree at the University of Kansas. He taught in a psychiatric clinic associated with the Children’s Division, Menninger Clinic at Southard School in Topeka, Kansas. Dr. Jim Kauffman has authored numerous books and articles and has clearly established himself as a leader in the field.
